1. Will Lifters and Shifters’ Crates save me money?
The design of our equipment ensures that the packing, relocation and unpacking can be completed efficiently, saving downtime. Our crates are user friendly and allow the hirer to complete the relocation themselves saving on the costs of moving companies. 2. Will this equipment comply with our Environmental Policy?
Our Crates are designed to be re-used rather than recycled as they have an estimated lifespan of 10 years (subject to usage). When their lifespan is up our crates are fully recyclable as they are made from 100% high density polypropylene. Our Crates are designed to replace the use of Cardboard boxes, which after 2 – 3 uses are sent to landfill, which can result in the production of harmful emissions when broken down, not to mention the amount of water and trees used in the production of the boxes to begin with.

3. What about safety?
Our crates are ergonomically designed with integrated handles making them easier to pick up. They are also designed to stack one on top of the other & when used with a dolly or skate can be pushed to a different location therefore reducing the need for unnecessary lifting & double handling.

4. Is there a minimum or maximum term of hire for any products?
You can hire our equipment for as long as you like, with a minimum of 1 day. The rental starts from the day of delivery until the day they are returned to the Lifters and Shifters depot. If you want to terminate hire of our moving equipment earlier than quoted end date, please contact us on 0408 479 717 to organize collection or return to depot.

5. Is there a minimum number of units that I must order?
Domestic orders are made up in packages, so the minimum you can order is 1 x 15 crate pack. For commercial relocations, there are no packages as yet, however on average crate hire for companies is no less than 15 crates.

6. Do you Deliver?
Yes, We provide a delivery and collection service or you can collect and return the crates to any of our depots in Australia (Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Perth). We prefer a minimum 24hours notice prior to delivery but if you require urgent delivery or collection, please contact us asap on 0408 479 717. Collections by Lifters and Shifters are scheduled in advanced , 14 days after rental starts.

7. How long does a delivery take?
Delivery times can vary depending on the quantity, access and distribution. If access is a known problem for the delivery address we ask that you notify us and arrange access, for example a loading dock. At an extra cost, which is dependent on the quantity and time on site, distribution of crates to multiple floors and staff desks, as well as multiple delivery drop off sites can be done.

8. Can I purchase Crates?
No, as Lifters and Shifters is a hire company we do not sell Crates, Capsules, dollies or skates. If you wish to purchase the consumables (butchers paper, bubble wrap and labels) this is not a problem and can be done so without the need to hire out moving equipment.

9. How can I track my Crates?
Each Crate has a unique six digit number embossed into it. By allocating Crates by numbers to specific staff members Crates will be easily identified and can be tracked. Additionally, Security Seals are also numbered and can also be allocated to specific staff members.

10. Do all of your products offer security?
Wherever possible, Lifters and Shifters equipment has been designed to provide superior levels of security and protection to the assets being relocated. The inclusion of Security Seals enhances the security features.

11. Can you offer moving services?

12. How big are the Crates, Skates and Move Capsules?
As part of the design process, Lifters and Shifters strived to ensure that the dimensions of our equipment provided the optimum in ease and efficiency of use. We were mindful of the need to relocate quantities of materials, while also ensuring that the equipment was neither too bulky nor cumbersome.
